Satch Purcell, L.A.c., OTR/L, is a Board Certified, Licensed Acupuncturist and
Occupational Therapist. Satch hold dual Master's degrees in Oriental Medicine
and Occupational Therapy from South Baylo University (SBU) and Loma Linda
University (LLU) respectively.
He has a specialty in traditional Chinese Medical Orthopedics from the American
Acupuncture Academy with advanced training at the Dong Zhi Men Hospital of
Orthopedics and Traumatology in Beijing China.
Satch is a former Adjuct Professor and Clinical Supervisor at SBU, where he
taught Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Chinese Medical History. He also did research on HIV/AIDS
using Acupuncture. He has taught anatomy, nutrition and Human development to LVN students. Satch
was also an instructor at Pacific College of Medical Careers for the Physical Medicine Assistant Program.
He has apprenticed under well-known practitioners, worked in private practice and taught for the last nine years.
Presently, Satch works as an occupational therapist focusing on geriatric rehabilitation and practices Chinese
medicine, his lif-long dream and passion at Purcell Acupuncture.
